 Alliance for Business & Training, Inc (AB&T) is a community based not for profit corporation with its administrative office located in Elizabethton, Tennessee. The mission is to create and sustain a workforce development system which promotes Economic Development; meets employer needs and is responsive to changing labor market demands, community economic growth and participants job skills.
AB&T has provided services to the residents and employers of NortheastTennessee since 1984 and strives towards creative and innovative solutions tokeep Tennesseans and American employed.

lwda 2 - walters state community college

Walters State's Center for Workforce Development is the administrative entity for Local Area 2,which comprises the 10 counties in the college's primary service area. With partner agencies, it serves both job seekers and employers through the Tennessee Comprehensive Center in Morristown, the Comprehensive Center in Sevierville and affiliate centers in Greenville and Tazewell (Wednesday Afternoons in Maynardville). The Center for Workforce Development also provides youth enrichment and development initiatives through WIOA Youth Services.

The purpose of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) is to improve the opportunity for everyone on the economic ladder in Workforce Investment Area 4 (LWIA 4) to contribute to the economy in the way that they are most capable. We provide workforce investment activities through the Tennessee Career Center system that increase the employment,retention, and earnings of customers, and increase occupational skill attainment by customers, and, as a result, improves the quality of the workforce, reduces welfare dependency, and enhances the productivity and competitiveness of this area, the State, and the Nation.
